Infant and Toddlers' Centre

Our newest building is custom designed specifically for infants and toddlers. Their own 1400+ sq. ft building gives them a space to feel secure and safe, encouraging them to explore, learn, grow and play. The building is right next door to the 3-5 year olds', allowing for interaction.

The new infant-toddler centre's design includes bathroom facilities built for toddler height, with touchless faucets, and out-of-reach electrical outlets. The open floor plan allows for maximum visibility at all times and large windows to let in the natural light. Our infant-toddler centre has a full kitchen, is air conditioned, handicapped-accessible, meeting and/or exceeding the requirements for infant and toddler and special needs child care.

Infant-Toddlers' outdoor play area is 1500 sq feet with small climbing structures, lots of outdoor toys, and activities to stimulate children's imagination and provide them with opportunities to develop and practice their fine and gross motor skills. The quiet, natural environment around the daycare is conducive to stroller walks, exploring nature, forest walks, and field trips. We believe that children are more likely to explore and learn from their environment when they feel safe and secure, so we built a center and outdoor play area specifically with infants and toddlers in mind.

3-5 Year-old Children's Area

With the addition of our new infant-toddler building next door, our 3-5 year olds have taken over the entire space of the current 3000 square ft, built-for-childcare building. (We believe that children deserve more than society's unwanted space such as church basements.) Our centers were built to provide an enhanced learning environment.

As Maria Montessori (well know educator, physician and philosopher) says, "Adults admire their environment; they can remember it and think about it - but a child absorbs it. The things that he sees are not just remembered; they form part of his soul. He incarnates in himself all in the world about him that his eyes see and his ears hear."

We enhance our environment with a strong Preschool Program that has evolved over the past 27 years, giving great consideration to all 5 areas of Early Childhood Development. (Social, Emotional, Physical, Creative and Intellectual)

For outdoor play, a 3000 sq ft fenced and grassed area is surrounded by trees and horse pasture. There is a large play structure, many age-appropriate outdoor toys, and activities to engage children in well-planned vigorous outdoor play. The natural environment in the neighborhood is conducive to walks to the park, exploration of nature and forest hikes.
